Imagine A House

How does building differ depending on place? How do people differ? Is your house round or square? Is it made of mud or concrete? Does it have a kitchen inside?

Grab your tool box and go! Imagine a House invites children and adults to explore the mechanics of house construction in Guatemala, Mozambique, and the Building Square, learning and sharing how people live around the world. This area is centered on the values of contributing to our community, working together to help others, making a difference, and fostering an understanding of others and their cultures.

Kid-sized homes from different countries are the backdrop for lots of construction activities. As children play, they discuss their questions about people in other places and how their culture and environments shape their lives. Guests also have a chance to share about where they live in Tell Us YOUR Story. Construction activities spark the imagination of every age.
